Brambles goats hold the CAE (Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis) accreditation. This means they are free from a viral disease which is detected by a blood test.Once you have decided to buy Angoras you then need to decide if you are going to buy accredited stock. The difference is that you have to keep your accredited stock double fenced to ensure that your goats do not come into contact (cannot touch nose to nose), with any other non-accredited goat or sheep.

Following our success with alpaca wool and hand knitted products we have expanded our enterprise to include Angora Goats with the first breeding does and a prize winning buck arriving on farm November 2009. The first kids will be born in Spring 2010, some of them will be for sale as breeding stock or pets and others kept for their fantastic fleece qualities

We have been keeping and showing goats since 1977 and found difficulties in obtaining good quality and well designed equipment for goats. So over a period of years we have designed the range of equipment shown below. Some of which has been used for Calves, Sheep and Ponies. The “Topknot” herd of Boer goats is owned by Nicola Knott. The herd is based at Hill House Farm - a small family farm owned by Nicola and her husband Peter. There are no employees on the farm with the majority of the work done by Peter himself, some help from Nicola and some casual labour during harvest and autumn drilling time. Peter and Nicola also have three young daughters who enjoy helping with the goats and other farm jobs.
