Guinea Fowl come from Africa originally, but have been bred for food in many countries for hundreds of years. There are even drawings of them on the walls of the pyramids.The many different varieties have been caused by cross-breeding over the years, and in some countries Guinea Fowl are still seen in the wild, hunted in the same way as pheasant or partridge are in the UK.

We specialise in breeding Guinea Fowl and ornamental ducks.Guinea Fowl do make good companion birds for other domestic birds as they tend to be non aggressive to birds of a similar size and do not carry many of the diseases and germs that Chicken, Turkeys, Ducks and Geese are susceptible. For the small fruit grower, Guineas are an advantage in that they will discourage smaller birds that damage crops and they will not pick the fruits and often are not inclined to even eat the fruit that falls to the ground.
