| Bevs Rare Breed Poultry We are the Nelson Family, Bev, Matthew and our children, James & Amelia. We started keeping poultry as a hobby in 2004, when our son was born. After initially buying a few Hybrids for eggs for the kitchen we were soon hooked and wanted to have a go at breeding. We initially decided upon Sablepoots as a bantam breed and the Croad Langshan as a large breed, both of these breeds are naturally good with children and have never looked back since. | ||

| Poultry Matters Poultry Matters is a small family run business based in North Cumbria. Our small holding is situated on the foothills of the Lake District's Skiddaw mountain range. We are 30 minutes drive from the M6 motorway. Carlisle, Penrith, Keswick, the west coast and South West Scotland are no more than an hours' drive away. Like many others, we have been bitten by the poultry keepers bug. We started with a few ex-battery hens and six Black Rocks and now have over 80 breeding birds with at least two strains of each breed. We have four varieties of pure bred birds all bred and reared by ourselves on the farm. | ||

We are also breeders of a wide range of poultry, from bantams to Jersey Giants. We are located in Pilling and welcome visits from prospective customers. We will happily give advice and help with choosing your new chickens. We also breed turkeys and at certain times of year, June onwards, we have young stock available for those of you who are brave enough to rear them for xmas! Please ring us for availability.
