The British Alpaca Society (BAS) is dedicated to the welfare of alpacas and the education of their owners in the UK. The BAS provides information, support and events for alpaca owners, breeders and those interested in alpacas, as well as maintaining the Pedigree Register for the National Herd.

Alpaca Farmers of Scotland exists to support alpaca owners and the alpaca industry in Scotland. Alpaca Farmers may be full-timers or they may have alpacas alongside other farming or non-farming activities and occupations. What they all have in common is intense respect for and enjoyment of these beautiful animals. They have changed my life - calm, trusting and trustworthy spirits wrapped in gorgeous fleece.

The Yorkshire Alpaca Group (YAG) is affiliated to the British Alpaca Society (BAS) and is the regional group for alpaca owners in Yorkshire to guard the welfare of alpacas and to promote its fleece. It also serves to provide a support and information network for alpaca owners and breeders and anyone interested in owning alpacas.
